We’ve all heard from our mothers and fathers, “Those video games are gonna rot your brain.” For the most part, that statement isn’t totally true. There are a lot of great things about video games and technology. It can sometimes be used as a learning tool and in some cases, it can enhance one’s hand-eye coordination and be used for therapeutic purposes. In fact, in a series of experiments on a small number of gamers, researches reported that gamers with previous experience of playing action games were better at perceptual tasks such as pattern discrimination than games with less experience. So, to say that technology and video games are “all-bad,” would not be true.
