Bulimia Treatment Centers in California Help Bullies

The above are just a few ways on how kids deal with this abuse – not very well. And now new research has found that victims of bullying aren’t the only ones who face such difficult times psychologically. Duke Medicine and University of North Carolina School of Medicine researcher found that bullies are twice as likely to need help from bulimia recovery centers in California opposed to those actually being bullied. William Copeland, Ph.D., associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences and lead author on the research said: “Maybe they’re good at manipulating social situations or getting out of trouble, but in this one area it seems that’s not the case at all. Maybe teasing others may sensitize them to their own body image issues, or afterward, they have regret for their actions that results in these symptoms like binge eating followed by purging or excess exercise.”
