Everything we have ever learned about eating disorders has pointed us towards a mental disorder that is usually created by traumatizing events or needing a sense of control. California bulimia treatment centers have found that there may be more reasons for eating disorders. Now there is new research that would tell us that this mental aspect isn’t the only part of the disease – it could be biological also. According to researchers, eating disorders may be more than an imbalance in the brain, but also caused by a bacteria in the stomach. They call it microbiota.
